Chili Piper Alternatives: Booking Inbound Meetings Without a Form First

Chili Piper routes demo requests to the right rep after a form, with plans from $1,250 a month billed yearly. Here are the alternatives, from lighter routers to tools that book inside the conversation.

The main Chili Piper alternatives are RevenueHero, Default, LeanData BookIt, HubSpot Meetings, Calendly's routing forms and AI website agents that book the meeting inside the conversation. Chili Piper is excellent at what it does: getting a demo request to the right rep in seconds. The question is whether its price fits your team, and whether a form should be the first thing your visitors see.

This guide explains how Chili Piper works, lists the alternatives with what they publish about their prices, and shows where the form-first model loses meetings. It belongs with our guide to the demo request form, which looks at the form itself.

How Chili Piper books inbound meetings

Chili Piper's flagship product for inbound is Form Concierge. According to the Form Concierge page, the flow looks like this:

  1. The visitor submits a form on your website.
  2. Optional enrichment fills in company data, so the form can stay short.
  3. A spam check filters junk submissions.
  4. The lead is qualified in real time against your rules.
  5. Routing assigns the right rep by territory, company size, industry, account owner or any CRM field, and can add several people to one call.
  6. The visitor books on the calendar immediately, gets reminders, and no-shows and cancellations are written back to the CRM.

Around it, Chili Piper sells distribution, handoff, chat and scheduling products, now bundled into plans rather than sold one by one.

What it costs

The Chili Piper pricing page lists three plans:

  • Growth: $1,250 a month with 15 seats included, then $45 per extra seat per month.
  • Scale: $3,500 a month with 30 seats included, then $50 per extra seat per month, adding AI chat and account identification.
  • Enterprise: from 250 seats, price on request.

Billing is yearly only, with discounts for multi-year contracts. A scheduling-only product, ChiliCal, costs $12 per user per month with a 200-user minimum. In practice, the entry cost of the inbound product is about $15,000 a year.

Where the form-first model loses meetings

Chili Piper makes the step after the form very fast. It does not change the fact that the form comes first. A visitor who still has a question, about price, an integration or whether you work with companies like theirs, has two options: fill in a form to ask it, or leave.

Speed matters after the form too. The research published in Harvard Business Review on the short life of online sales leads found that most companies are not responding to online leads nearly fast enough. Routing tools fix the response time once the form is sent. They cannot help the visitor who never sends it. Our article on speed to lead covers both halves of the problem.

The Chili Piper alternatives worth comparing

RevenueHero

RevenueHero routes each inbound lead to the right rep and books the meeting, with a record of why each assignment was made. Its pricing page lists Essentials at a $79 monthly platform fee plus $25 per seat, and Advanced at $159 plus $35 per seat, billed yearly, with no seat minimum and free admin seats. It supports HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Freshsales and Attio. It is the closest like-for-like replacement at a lower entry cost.

Default

Default combines workflows, enrichment, routing and scheduling in one platform. The Default pricing page lists Growth at $12,000 a year and Enterprise at $25,000 a year, plus seats for routing and scheduling. It suits teams that want to replace several inbound tools at once.

LeanData BookIt

LeanData is the Salesforce-native option. BookIt for Forms books qualified meetings directly from web forms and chatbots, with routing handled inside Salesforce. Pricing is custom, based on features and Salesforce users. Choose it if your routing rules already live in LeanData.

HubSpot Meetings

If your team runs on HubSpot, Sales Hub includes meeting links: one personal link on Starter, team meeting links from Professional at $90 per seat per month, according to the HubSpot pricing page. It is less sophisticated than Chili Piper for complex routing, but it costs nothing extra if you already pay for the right tier.

Calendly routing forms

Calendly includes routing forms that qualify, route and schedule leads on its Teams plan at $16 per seat per month, according to the Calendly pricing page. Salesforce routing lookups sit on the Enterprise plan. It works well for smaller teams with simple rules.

AI website agents

The last category removes the form. An AI agent on the website answers the visitor's questions from your own pages, qualifies them in the conversation and offers a slot in the same thread. The meeting happens when the visitor is ready, not after a form. These tools usually publish a monthly price and install with one line. Our guide to inbound lead qualification explains how qualification works when it happens in a conversation.

How to choose

Three questions decide most comparisons.

  • Who maintains the routing rules? If your rules change every quarter, a tool your RevOps team can edit without a ticket is worth more than any feature list.
  • Where does qualification happen? Before the form, in the form, or in a conversation? The earlier the visitor gets an answer, the fewer you lose.
  • What is the full yearly cost? Add platform fees, seats, onboarding and the minimum commitment. Monthly prices billed yearly are still yearly contracts.

Then test the alternative on one page, usually the demo request page, for a few weeks and compare meetings held, not meetings booked. A router that books more meetings with a higher no-show rate has not improved anything.

If you are leaving Chili Piper rather than adding a tool next to it, export your routing rules first and rewrite them in plain language: which rep takes which accounts, what happens when that rep is away, and which leads should never get a meeting. That document is the real asset. Check the end date of your yearly contract too, since a switch in the middle of a term means paying twice for a few months.

How Nudge handles it

Nudge takes the conversation-first route. The Website Agent answers the visitor's questions from your pages and documents while they read, asks the few questions that qualify them, then offers a slot in the same conversation, without sending them to a form. Booking rules, such as who takes which meetings and when, are set on the conversational form. When the meeting is booked, the Handoff Agent sends the rep a brief built from the visitor's own words, so the call starts where the conversation stopped. You can see Nudge answer on the Website Agent page or ask it a question from the home page.
